Saitex Denim Factory, Dong Nai - Stories | SP Group Asia

VIETNAM SAITEX

Making denim the world’s most sustainable fabric.

The Opportunity

Saitex is a denim manufacturing company based here in Vietnam producing no less than 6 million pairs of jeans a year. It is taking sustainability seriously and one of its corporate goals is to create “the world’s most sustainable fabric”. To help them get there, they have partnered us to introduce renewable energy generation into their energy mix at their new fabric mill in Dong Nai province.

Our Solution

To harness the power of the sun to make denim the greener way, we have installed close to ten thousand solar panels across the rooftops of the five buildings that make up Saitex’s new mill- delivering a ray of sunshine into the world of fashion like never before. This solution will help Saitex reduce their carbon emissions by 5,384 tonnes every year – demonstrating that fashion needn’t cost the earth.

At-A-Glance

9,828
solar panels installed.
5,384
tonnes of reduced carbon emissions annually.
4,4 MWp
of rooftop solar.
